FanTag is a decentralized identity platform for creators and their fans, powered by ENS subnames and the Ethereum Follow Protocol (EFP).
Creators can register ENS domains (e.g., artist.fantoken.eth) and establish verifiable Web3 communities. Fans can claim subnames (e.g., alice.artist.fantoken.eth) of artists they follow on the Ethereum Follow Protocol that directly link them to their favorite creators, forming portable and verifiable identities.
By combining ENS with EFP, FanTag enriches profiles with social graph data, ensuring that identities are trustworthy, human-readable, and portable across dApps. Offchain resolution is handled with Durin, enabling smooth and gas-efficient lookups.
The project was built entirely with Scaffold-ETH 2, leveraging its developer-friendly framework for smart contract deployment, frontend integration, and wallet interactions.
With FanTag, creators build authentic communities, and fans gain proof of belonging to their favorite creators, empowering culture, creativity, and community on Ethereum.
