SANKOFA is a digital platform built to solve two fundamental challenges for artisans: the difficulty in reaching a broader market and the trust issues that exist for both buyers and sellers in online transactions. Our mission is to provide a secure and accessible platform where artisans can showcase their work to a global audience with confidence.

• Building Trust for Everyone: To address the critical issue of trust, SANKOFA is built with two key features:

A secure escrow system protects both parties by holding payment until the transaction is complete.

We use the Celo network to handle seller’s verification, adding an essential layer of security and confidence for buyers.

Core Technologies

Our platform is powered by two core Web3 technologies:

• ENS: Used to provide artisans and buyers with easy-to-remember, human-readable usernames.

• Celo: Used for our seller verification process to boost trust in the marketplace.

Our Vision for the Future

We are focused on making commerce even easier for our users. Our future roadmap includes developing a mobile app for SANKOFA and creating a simple interface for artisans to withdraw crypto directly to their mobile money (momo) accounts like how P2P works.
