Hi there,

I am Katya and I am new to Lisbon. I have been working in video games for the last 10 years, if you've played Need for Speed or Papo&Yo or the new first person shooter Metro: Exodus, then we gotta 'talk' :)

On top of my work, I am finishing my Master degree in film studies, hoping to bring VR into films as well and currently I am working on my second short film.

I am always contributing to my community, as it is an important value for me, so I co-initiated a yearly training program in BirZeit university in occupied Palestine. The aim is to train students in 'game development and publishing' and to provide young entrepreneurs with tools to develop and publish their own games. In 2016, I joined MEGA - a gaming convention in Beirut, Lebanon as a guest speaker. My lecture was about "psychology of gamers": How to implement different psychology theories when developing a game, as part of understanding the behaviour and patterns of our gamers.
