Description

Problem: Agriculture is facing a water crisis due to increasingly frequent droughts, leading to unstable yields and massive government spending on emergency subsidies. Current water management is often reactive rather than preventive.

Solution: ReAqua is an integrated system designed to revolutionize the planning and management of retention basins. Our core innovation is a proprietary QGIS plugin that automates the identification of optimal reservoir locations. By combining advanced analytics with local environmental data, we ensure maximum efficiency in water storage. ReAqua goes beyond simple water retention; it actively restores biodiversity and provides a scalable tool for regional water security.

EU space technologies: We leverage Copernicus Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 satellite data to monitor soil moisture levels, vegetation health (NDVI), and land-use changes.

EU Space for Water: We are addressing the 2 & 3 challenge.
