Idea
Leveraging Copernicus satellite data and a multi-stage spectral processing pipeline, our system autonomously detects and monitors toxic cyanobacterial blooms in freshwater bodies — days before they reach the shoreline. By combining land-water masking, temporal image subtraction, and chlorophyll-a thresholding, we transform raw Sentinel imagery into real-time early-warning alerts, shifting water quality management from reactive crisis response to proactive, data-driven environmental protection.
