 As a result of human activities, eutrophization is a process that impact thousands of people in the world, turning different bodies of water toxic for people, flora and fauna surrounding it. Health, tourism, fishing, agricultural sectors are affected by it in a short, mid and long term. 

Nowadays, there are several visors that allows you to monitor the situation worldwide but it represents different inconsistencies: 

• The data presented is not updated constantly
• The data presented covers very general areas
• There is no notification for people interested, being locals or gubernamental entities

THE SOLUTION - BLUE PIXEL VISOR

Therefore, our solution is present to you a visor linked to the Copernicus historical datasets that can provide information from all around the word, in real time, with high precision and an alarm system for those who require it. 

This project develops a satellite-based workflow for water quality monitoring using Sentinel-2 data, detecting turbidity, chlorophyll, algae, and potential pollution anomalies. It evolved from a visualization approach into a reproducible pipeline capable of multi-date analysis and GIS-ready outputs. Designed for scalability, it supports environmental monitoring and can be extended to automated workflows using regularly updated Sentinel-2 imagery (~5-day revisit).

Our visor images have within them a detailed processed classification that provides you 5 classes:

1. Healthy water without anomalities
2. Sediments or turbidity that obstacles the light to penetrate correctly
3. High clorophile concentration
4. Bloom algae
5. Other anomalities that might indicate active contamination

Our innovative visor is a user friendly and interactive space that allows you to understand the area of interest already processed with the data available. We are accesible, constant and scalable, meaning that anyone can access at anytime from anywhere. 

Nevertheless, the work does not stop here. We want to offer you instant notifications as soon as we detect an anomaly in an area of your interest, we want you to have fast and immediate results as soon as the Copernicus uploads a new satellite image and we want you to have the information available for yourself. In other words, we have already done the hard work for you to relax and access the high quality information we provide!

TARGETS

We look forward to hear from you. If you're a local farmer or concerned citizen we offer you a 8€ per km2 per month. For public entities, we offer a 15€ deal and for private entities, a 20€ deal.
