MindMap is a wellness-focused PWA designed to support mental health by blending nature, psychology, and AI in a seamless user experience. While digital wellness apps have grown in popularity, most fail to meet the deeper psychological needs of individuals—offering generic meditations or mood logs without addressing root causes or promoting sustainable mental well-being. Critically, they overlook a key therapeutic factor: nature.
According to the State of Health in the EU: Synthesis Report 2023, nearly 50% of young Europeans report inadequate access to appropriate mental health care. At the same time, the Eurobarometer (2023) reveals that 35–40% of Europeans express a strong desire to reconnect with nature as part of their well-being. This signals a major gap in digital mental health support: tools that combine psychological care with ecological engagement.
MindMap directly addresses this unmet need. It not only helps users manage stress, anxiety, and mood challenges, but also reintroduces nature as an active agent in mental recovery and daily resilience. By integrating AI-driven emotional support with location-based green-space discovery, satellite-informed environmental suggestions, and personalized mood tracking, it offers a holistic approach that adapts to the user’s environment and emotional state.
MindMap leverages EU space technologies to provide real-time, personalized wellness recommendations that adapt to environmental conditions. Specifically, the app integrates data from Copernicus and Galileo.
MindMap uses data from the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) and the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service to deliver:
MindMap also uses Galileo GNSS to:
By combining these space assets, MindMap brings physical context into mental wellness, enabling a truly personalized and location-aware approach to mental health support. This integration transforms generic advice into environmentally intelligent wellness guidance, setting the app apart from existing digital solutions.
MindMap addresses Challenge #3: Mental Health and Well-Being by offering a preventive, self-guided digital tool that complements existing mental health services. It focuses on supporting everyday mental well-being through access to environmental insights and AI-tailored recommendations. The app encourages users to engage with nature, track their mood, and adopt small, healthy routines that can reduce stress and improve emotional regulation. MindMap encourages early self-awareness and reconnects individuals in urban environments with nature, helping to ease the strain on healthcare systems by offering accessible, preventive mental well-being support.
