Problem
Despite advancements in modern healthcare, mental health challenges (e.g., stress, anxiety, depression) continue to rise globally. Compounding factors like climate change, pollution, biodiversity loss, and societal pressures exacerbate these issues, creating barriers to accessing effective support and sustaining well-being.
Solution
Serena is an AI-driven chatbot designed to mitigate mental stress exacerbated by environmental factors (e.g., pollution, weather, vegetation) by combining real-time Earth observation data with personalized mental health support. Leveraging the Copernicus program (Sentinel satellites), Galileo (precision location), and EGNOS (navigation correction), Serena delivers hyper-localized advice and proactive stress-management strategies.
🛰️ EU space technologies
Galileo and EGNOS data for giving localised responses.
Copernicus weather forecast data to get real-time data and give a real-time response.
EU Space for Healthcare
The challenge is to develop innovative solutions that use European space data (Copernicus, Galileo, or IRIS²) to monitor and improve mental health and well-being. This includes tracking environmental stressors like pollution and heat, offering personalized support, and helping cities create healthier living space
