Using multiple satellite datasets we identify location for land restoration. Finding locations that used to host life but since have been depleted. We focus on water based solutions.

With changing climate there are many areas drying up and rivers are no longer flowing. The upside is that there are plenty of methods to restore water flow in nature. 
We are working with dew collectors, ram pumps, solar/hydro pumps and keyline design as the test to identify the locations where these tools work the best and can be implemented. 
By identifying the optimal locations for restoration the project costs are dramatically decreased and rivers can be restored with land down river regaining fertility.

Downstream identifies land with specific properties that fits the restoration tools and technology we focus on. The tools and technology are focused on economic costs with maximum environmental impact. By focusing on proven earth and water restoration tools we base on existing success but making sure that the tools are used in the optimal location which has been very expensive to identify with conventional surveying methods.

We created a mapping solution where we could map where to apply water infrastructure to pump water up in the hills to increase the soil moisture and build up vegetation which leads to fertility downstream. 

By doing this we also created a tool which identifies where plants can live and thrive based on their needs. We map the soil types and properties, rainfall, soil moisture and temperature.

This project can have a major impact as we build up fertility in hills, creating natural cycles that lead to nutrients building up and going into the water which goes downhill to the plains where local farmers benefit greatly from farming land that before did not yield much.
