Idea:

OnlyFiit is a mobile application designed to connect users with outdoor sports locations and other active individuals nearby. It visualizes outdoor sports areas (e.g. workout zones, football fields, tennis courts, beach volleyball courts) on an interactive map and helps users find suitable places for exercising - either near their home or while traveling.

The app aims to:

  • Enable athletes and recreation enthusiasts to discover nearby public sport locations.

  • Allow trainers and fitness professionals to offer outdoor training services without being tied to a gym.

  • Support cities and administrative bodies by providing analytics about usage and engagement of public sport infrastructures.

The monetization model includes premium features (real-time occupancy, pollution-aware recommendations, social features, trainer promotion) and B2B partnerships with city administrations (for KPI evaluation and infrastructure management).

EU Space Technologies:

The application integrates EU space data and services to enhance user experience and data-driven insights:

  • Sentinel-1 (Copernicus): Detects construction work or major changes near sport areas using radar imaging. Users are notified about potential noise or dust disturbances.

  • CAMS - Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service: Provides real-time data on air pollutants, aerosols, and greenhouse gases, allowing the app to suggest cleaner, healthier outdoor areas for exercise.

  • KINEIS IoT satellite network: Connects environmental sensors deployed at sport locations to monitor temperature, humidity, light, wind conditions, and noise levels - giving users a reliable and up-to-date picture of local conditions.

  • Galileo positioning data for determining the number of people using a given facility/outdoor gym.

  • Increases trust and reliability by basing recommendations on objective satellite and IoT data.

  • Promotes sustainability and health awareness through air-quality and environmental condition insights.

  • Enables smart-city collaboration, using space-based data for infrastructure performance assessment.
