Northern Eye: See the aurora, not the clouds
Problem: Millions travel north to chase the Northern Lights and leave disappointed. Most apps show only geomagnetic activity. They ignore many important aspects that actually block sightings: clouds, light / air pollution and terrain. Operators waste fuel and staff hours driving to the wrong place at the wrong time.
Solution: Northern Eye is a travel companion that predicts real viewing windows and navigates you there. We compute an Aurora Visibility Score for every nearby location by fusing space weather with Copernicus atmosphere and terrain data, then send a simple alert with a go-now route.
Why now: Open EU space data, rising Arctic tourism, and sustainability pressure to cut wasted miles.
Value: Travelers get more successful aurora nights with fewer long drives. Tour operators get higher hit rates, lower fuel spend, happier customers and a branded dashboard for route planning and guest alerts.
