Runners are looking for solutions that go beyond simple temperature alerts and have concerns about potential cost and ease of use.

The Solution: ApexSafe is a "Flutter Mobile App" designed to "Run Safe, Finish Strong." It provides "real-time, personalized safety alerts" that allow runners to make "proactive decisions" to finish races safely. By using a "FastAPI Backend (Python)" to process multiple data sources, the app is "good for race planning" and enables "safe training and racing."

ApexSafe leverages several key EU space technologies as part of its system architecture:

- GNSS (Galileo, EGNOS): This is used to determine the user's "User Location, Elevation" with high accuracy.

- Copernicus Data Space: The platform heavily utilizes data from the Copernicus program, including:

• Sentinel-1 (SAR, Soil Moisture) 

• Sentinel-2 (Optical, NDVI) 

• Sentinel-3 (Fire Hotspots) 

• Sentinel-5P (Air Quality) 

• Copernicus DEM (Elevation)
