💎 Idea

Problem: Urban populations often suffer from poor air quality, which negatively impacts health and the overall experience of outdoor activities. Furthermore, popular natural spots become overcrowded, degrading the experience and putting a strain on local ecosystems.

Our Solution: "AirWeGo" – an app that uses real-time air quality data to recommend nearby destinations with the freshest air. We help users discover beautiful, less-crowded locations for trips and walks, ensuring a healthier and more enjoyable experience. Simultaneously, we help distribute tourist traffic, aiding nature in coping with over-tourism. Additionally, the app helps users plan the perfect time for daily activities like walking with children or exercising in their own city based on current air conditions.

Data Source: We utilize atmospheric monitoring data from the Copernicus programme, specifically the Sentinel satellites and associated services that provide accurate, real-time information on air pollutants (e.g., NO2, PM2.5, O3).

Value Added: This EU space data is the core of our application. It provides the reliable, wide-coverage, and up-to-date environmental intelligence that powers our location and timing recommendations. Without this critical data stream, our service would not be possible. It transforms a simple map app into a smart, health-conscious guide.

• Nazariy Prontenko (Team Captain): An Engineering Science student at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and a working DevOps engineer. I am responsible for orchestrating our ideas, managing project integration, and ensuring our technical vision aligns with our core mission.

• Roman Bondar (Secretary & Support): An Electrical Engineering student at Magdeburg University. Roman is the backbone of our team's organization, handling document preparation, presentations, and the crucial task of researching necessary information.

• Anton Shvets (Web Developer): Our skilled web developer who built the foundational API and the technical framework upon which the entire application is assembled.
