Many apps already provides useful tools for route planning, integrating weather forecast with precision routes mapping but they are not considering the environmental risk evaluation. This is a really big lack in safety terms.

GeoHike provides a risk calculation engine for mountains routes to help avoiding potential threatening life hazard situation. We analyze the current environmental status of the routes to predict a possible near future one, guiding safer decisions.

GeoHike integrates Copernicus Sentinel-1 SAR VV/VW data - such as terrain water saturation for landslide prediction - with Sentinel-2 historical imagery to detect sudden vegetation changes and assess mountain route safety. It also leverages Galileo HAS for high-precision positioning, pinpointing exact danger locations.
