Description

Short Summary

The project focuses on gamifying tourism through a mobile application that allows users to complete challenges and receive real rewards. The app integrates satellite data and weather APIs to provide personalized recommendations for new places to visit.

The application uses Copernicus Sentinel-5 to monitor air quality by measuring nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) levels, helping users choose clean and safe areas for travel. Real-time weather data and forecasts are accessed through the Open-Meteo API, allowing the app to suggest destinations based on current and predicted weather conditions.

Key features of the app include gamification of tourism through challenges and rewards, personalized recommendations based on satellite and weather data, air quality monitoring to inform users about pollution levels, and weather alerts to notify users about changing conditions. The goal of the project is to create an interactive and engaging tourism app that encourages active tourism, helps users explore new locations, ensures safe and comfortable travel experiences, and leverages modern technologies and open data to enhance the overall tourist experience.
