Description

Today’s fitness and sports tracking apps focus mainly on personal performance distance, pace, calories but they ignore one of the biggest factors that affect how we perform: our environment. Weather, wind, terrain, temperature, and air quality all influence athletic results, yet current platforms treat all activities as if they happen under identical conditions.

Our idea is to build a next-generation sports and social platform that merges fitness tracking with live Earth observation data from sources like Copernicus. The app tracks your activities (running, cycling, hiking, sailing, etc.) and automatically enriches them with real-time environmental data — such as wind speed, elevation, air quality, temperature, and weather conditions.

This information gives users deeper insights into their performance, while also unlocking new social and motivational features. Users can:

  • 🛰 See how the environment impacted their results.

  • 🏃 Compare achievements fairly with others who trained in similar conditions.

  • 🤝 Follow friends and athletes, discovering what challenges they faced (like running in heavy rain or cycling in strong winds).

  • 🌍 Discover new terrains or regions similar to professional athletes’ training environments.

By connecting human performance with environmental intelligence, the app not only makes fitness tracking more meaningful and fair, but also builds a community that celebrates the real-world challenges behind every achievement.
