AstraPlanner is a smart layer between AI and space data that helps travel agencies design personalised and sustainable itineraries.

The problem: most travel planning tools ignore real environmental conditions and rely on static data, leading to inefficient and unsustainable trips.

Our solution: AstraPlanner combines Copernicus Earth observation and Galileo positioning data with AI optimisation and natural language generation. It analyses air quality, climate conditions and accessibility, then uses Resource Planning Algorithms to build optimal trip configurations. 

Each potential location and activity receives an Environmental & Comfort Score based on satellite-derived indicators such as air quality, temperature, vegetation and accessibility.

These scores allow the AI planner to prioritise safer, greener, and more comfortable options for each traveller profile.

A Large Language Model (LLM) transforms the optimised results into a human-like narrative explaining the itinerary.

Travel providers can deliver safer, greener and more engaging journeys — automatically generated in seconds.

AstraPlanner leverages EU Space assets to enhance both safety and sustainability in travel planning.

• Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS): provides real-time air quality and pollution data, used to adapt itineraries and prioritise healthier environments.

• Copernicus Climate Data Store (CDS): integrates temperature and precipitation trends for smarter activity and time-of-day planning.

• Galileo positioning services: ensures precise localisation and navigation across all European destinations.

By transforming these datasets into AI features, constraints and location scores, AstraPlanner enables travel agencies to create eco-conscious, data-driven itineraries aligned with EU sustainability goals.
