Project Name: StellarPlayTheme: Cosmic Adventure AR – Gamifying Tourism and Sports with Satellite Data
Challenge Category: Entertainment with Space Technologies and Data
Location: Poland
Idea / Problem and Solution
Tourism and sports activities often lack interactivity and engaging experiences that fully immerse users. StellarPlay addresses this issue by combining Augmented Reality (AR) with European satellite data (Copernicus, Galileo, EGNOS). Users can explore cities or nature, complete space-themed missions, and optimize their sports training based on real-time satellite data.
Use of EU Space Technologies
Copernicus: Environmental and terrain data enable immersive AR experiences.
Galileo and EGNOS: Accurate positioning allows for location-based missions, precise route tracking, and real-time performance monitoring.
Impact on User Experience
Creates engaging AR games for tourism and sports.
Enhances training efficiency through satellite-based analytics.
Provides modern, interactive education about space technologies.
