💎 Idea
A system with the approach of correlating insights between EO satellite data and on-site data, in order to create warnings and recommendations for sea navigators, with respect to the ice and weather, in the scope of planning the navigation route
🚀 EU space technologies
●Copernicus Service CMEMS (Marine)
●Interferometric radiometer with L-band observations for ice thickness-dependency of brightness temperature enables to estimate the sea-ice thickness for thin ice regimes.
●Radar Altimetry for measuring the height of the ice surface above the water level, which can be converted into sea ice thickness assuming hydrostatic equilibrium
