Hi there,

I've been interested in computers all my life, ever since I started using that old IBM PS/2 my dad had… and then I broke it :P When I finally got it back working I decided I really liked those things with keyboards and screens.

Started using Linux in 1998 with the Slackware distro. And I've used most major distros around from Debian and Gentoo to Fedora and RHEL. Over the course of my career I learned that classic systems administrators are quickly being replaced by a new group of people with both Ops and Dev experience… I try to be one of those :)

I currently work as a Site Reliability Engineer for Google in Dublin, Ireland and focus mostly on distributed databases.

In the past I've worked at a SaaS startup called Hosted Graphite, Demonware (subsidiary of Activision/Blizzard providing middleware and services for multiplayer video games) and Media Capital (media group in Portugal).

I have a BSc in Computer Engineering from IST.

I was present on all days of Codebits IV, V, VI, VII, and Pixels Camp 2016.
