Aaaaaaand… we’re back with another awesome challenge.
This time, with the “Telos Governance Challenge”, a contest developed by our good friends of the Telos Foundation, who developed the second most active blockchain worldwide and whose utility already made possible the development of social media, gaming, and finance decentralized apps. Other than being a distributed network, the platform enables more than 10.000 transactions per second, which are also fee less, and grants high scalability.
Before specifying the details of the competition, did you know “telos” means objective or purpose? This imposes the question: “what is Telos’ telos with this challenge?” – pardon the awful pun.
The end goal is the development of an application, either a minimum viable product or a prototype based on Telos Decide Governance Engine – an on-chain governance engine that only exists in Telos Blockchain Network, which also offers an extensive suite of voting services and Decentralized Autonomous Corporation (DAC) / Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) tools for users, developers, decentralized communities, businesses, and non-profit organizations.
The toolset can be used for its primary purpose – governance and voting apps, for instance –, but Telos intends to bring innovations on:
To be eligible to win one of the prizes, you must develop a web application or a mobile app, which must either be compatible with Android (with the minimum version being Android 8 Orea) or iOS mobile devices (iOS 12 minimum version).
Other than this, you should also expect to provide access to the source code for further use or consultation.
Keep in mind that the Telos Foundation will encourage you to continue the development of their application and will invite the winners to their Boost program (which provides access to community funding, technical consultation, promotional, marketing, and business development support).
If this wasn’t sufficient entrepreneurial-appeal, the winners can also expect a wallet full of TLOS, their cryptocurrency – in this case 120,000 TLOS, equivalent to more than 4,000 USD.
