84 innovators around the globe are developing projects to help CTT.

It’s been a little more than a month since we’ve let our community know about the CTT challenge, in which we aim to find the best solution that can seamlessly read the bar codes that contain all the data about a certain package.

Imagine being a postman in the middle of the street, away from your office, with dozens of letters and packages on your responsibility and without a computer nearby to check the information you are looking for. You start steaming. This is not the first time this has happened to you.

“There’s got to be a better way!” you yell to the sky, while the camera slowly fades away vertically and your voice echoes through the neighbourhood.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the globe, a Singaporean programmer is scanning the challenge on our website. “Yup, there’s definitely a better way.”

Through TAIKAI’s platform, CTT will be handed a solution that’s coming from a coopetition of participants all around the world. We had 84 people enrolled, and besides Portugal and Singapore, we have innovators that are working from Brazil, France, Italy, Canada, Cape Verde, India, and Iran.

Cultural diversity is fuelling the challenge with different ways of thinking and strategies to find the best-fitting app.

In total, there are 24 projects under development and most of them are using state-of-the-art technology on the app, such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

Daunting terms for a non-tech-savvy person, we know, but fear nothing, although the app will be equipped with deep tech, it will also be user friendly.

For now, and until the end of the month, let us leave the programmers to their task. The winning team will be announced on the 4th of September and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see the end results of this challenge.
