My background education involves Social Sciences and Design. I combine both being passionate about improving complex systems' User Experience. I'm currently working on Técnico Lisboa, where I mostly work in the FenixEdu Project (http://fenixedu.org), the school's internal solution of open source applications for higher education institutions — file management, workflow processes, research publications' archive management, teacher/student communication… We also encourage other schools to consider adopting FenixEdu as a tool to streamline their procedures.

Besides work, and when I'm not reading web related content or playing with typography, you'll find me enthusiastic about arts and crafts in general (I'm actually following my father's passion — carpentry — and designing/making my own home furniture with him on my spare time), going on a photowalk, cooking or hiking.
