Formerly, minuscode’, a small tech company that I helped create, where I have the roles of UX analyst/designer/developer and QA tester; before that, proud member of the Usability and Quality team at SAPO; and teacher of UX at EDIT.
Looking further back, my career has led me to interesting experiences: Portuguese Web Archive; Linguateca, a natural language research group; XLDB, information retrieval research group; HCIM, Human-Computer Interaction research group; MSc. in Informatics at FCUL.
My main motivations are: Usability and User Experience(UX), Open Web and typography.I'm always reading so I can better understand the human psyche, i.e., what make us tick. Because i believe that the Web is for everyone. Being so crucial to our modern society, everyone should be able to use good and enjoyable web pages/services.
Several contrasting adjectives have been used to describe me, such as: nerdy, perfectionist, condescension or knowledgeable. The truth is; I will ask about what motivates your users and focus of your product, highlight the incorrect use of markup semantics and give you a huge list of usability and interaction problems.
Don’t let this fool you, I’m a nice guy by heart the want to direct the projects to the right direction in a polished outcome.
Aside fighting for an easier and enjoyable I'm an avid book buyer/reader, experiment in the kitchen and run around with camera in hand.
