I am a long time social entrepreneur who started as a designer and website programmer in the early days of the public internet. Since 2005 I am the founder and the President of the non-profit STEM promoting association Evoluir21. At Evoluir21 I created STEM education curriculum for teachers, researches best practices, trains educators, conducts STEM promotional activities for the public, coaches youth STEM teams and coordinates national robotics and science tournaments. In 2010 I was also a co-founder at Semana d'Aventura, a for-profit technology and STEM education company.

In November 2016, I co-found an education research and development company call JumpUp Learning Lda. We had the privilege to bring to Portugal the LEGO Education Academy, for help and share with adults about the LEGO Education System of Learning. I also serves as a freelance STEM education consultant and mentor for schools (private and public), city halls, museums and companies.

I enjoy too participated regularly in STEM events such as CodeBits, Maker Faire Lisbon, Pixels Camp, Web Summit and others.

My goal is to create opportunities for kids to make the world a better place through science, engineering and technology. Our children in the future will be the ones to find solutions to the many challenges that we face today. So because of that, since 2004 I have been the FIRST LEGO League Operational Partner for Portugal and FLLJR two amazing programs from FIRST Foundation! FLL and FLLJR are an extraordinary programs for kids and young people, which is designed to get them excited about science, engineering and technology while teaching them valuable employment and life skills. I enjoy a lot volunteering for this amazing program and share with everyone about it.
