Storacha Network shall be considered the Organizer of the challenge.
3.1. These rules define the terms and conditions for participation in the challenge, supplementing the General User Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy of the TAIKAI platform. In the event of any conflict, these rules will prevail.
3.2. Innovators are required to rely on their skill, knowledge, and creativity. The challenge is not a lottery or game of chance.
4.1. Participation in this challenge is free.
4.2. Innovators must read and accept these rules before registering and participating.
4.3. Innovators guarantee that they will adhere to the rules throughout the challenge. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
4.4. One entry per person is permitted.
4.5. Innovators and/or teams that fail to comply with the rules at any stage may be disqualified. If a prize has been awarded under non-compliance, the Organizer reserves the right to demand its return.
5.1. To participate in the hackathon, each Innovator must create an account on storacha.network and open a user account on taikai.network by providing:
5.3. A confirmation email containing a confirmation link will be sent to the Innovator’s listed email address. Once their account is confirmed, Innovators can participate and complete their profiles.
5.4. Incomplete or incorrect registrations may result in disqualification.
5.5. By registering, Innovators agree to be contacted via email for matters related to the challenge.
6.1. The challenge will take place from September 30 to October 31, 2024. Specific timelines:

6.3. The Organizer reserves the right to adjust the challenge’s duration, with reasonable notice.
7.1. Innovators must submit their deliverables in accordance with the requirements outlined in Section 8.
7.2. Submissions must be in English. Any non-English deliverables will not be reviewed.

8.2. Additional files such as presentations, images, or diagrams may be submitted as attachments or links to external services (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive).
8.3. Projects must consist solely of the team’s work. If a project contains third-party materials, proper credit must be given.
8.4. Innovators are responsible for ensuring the accessibility of their submissions. If the submission cannot be accessed or read, the Innovator must correct this before the deadline. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
9.1. Project selection will take place from October 28 to October 30.
9.2. Projects will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Selection will not be influenced by factors such as race, gender, sexual orientation, or political opinions.
9.3. The jury (“Backers”) will consist of experts appointed by the Organizer.
All images and media used in submissions must be free from copyright infringement. Innovators are responsible for ensuring the legal use of images, and the Organizer will not be liable for copyright violations.

Innovators are prohibited from sharing any confidential information disclosed during the challenge. The use of such information is limited to participation in the challenge.
The Organizer reserves the right to modify the rules at any time. Innovators are encouraged to review the rules periodically for updates.
The challenge is governed by Portuguese law, and any disputes will be settled by the Courts of Porto.
