Hi,

My name is Ricardo Prates and I am a web developer with a creative mind and a strong passion for technology, programming and making things work.I started my carreer at Observador, an online newspaper, in 2016 as a frontend developer. Since then, my work is served to thousands of users each day, with the constant need for optimization and performance. Being part of a small team, I have evolved into a full-stack developer, motivated by my endless desire to learn new things as well as wanting to know everything about backend, architecture and infrastructure.Currently I am working at Talkdesk since 2018, were I am part of an amazing team responsible for user facing applications. It is my first contact with enterprise grade software and demands, were I keep working and learning, in order to bring the best quality and value to our products.Life is not only technology and having some nice hobbies is good, too. Still, hardware is awesome and I like to do some small projects mostly with Arduino and Raspberry Pi. Also, I'm an AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO) who loves to build original creations. Photography is another one of my hobbies, which is also a good mean to exercise my creativity, travel and relax.
