I have broad experience in software engineering for the space sector. Special fields of expertise are system-simulation and space-craft on-board software.
I have been involved in several large space-craft system-simulation and on-board software projects, in academia as well as in the industry and during my work at ESA ESTEC.
In my current Job i am leading the on-board software systems engineering for the payload of the ESA mission PLATO, with contributions from research institutes from multiple countries and a team of over 20 people.
Essential for developing high-quality mission-critical software is a profound understanding of the system as a whole and all physical and non-physical aspects thereof. I posses a sound understanding of the systems-engineering processes applied to space project, including requirements-engineering, documentation management processes and verification methods.
Additionally to my professional work, i contribute to and work with open-source projects (ThirdEye, RTEMS, OpenSimKit) and volunteer in the the field of education and outreach.
