We just shipped something we've been building toward for a while: TAIKAI now has a native MCP connector.
That means your AI model like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and others, can now connect directly to TAIKAI and act on your behalf.
Not just read information. Act.
You can connect or revoke access anytime from your profile settings page, or simply place the MCP Server url in your AI assistant of choice:
mcp.taikai.network/mcp
Until now, TAIKAI and your AI tools lived in separate platforms. You'd build something with Claude, copy the description, open TAIKAI, paste it in, add the links, upload the images, go back and forth. Annoying, but normal.
That's over.
As a participant, you can now manage your project submission through your AI.
Tell it what you built, what problem it solves, drop in your demo link, and your project gets created on TAIKAI without switching context once. Your AI knows the hackathon, knows the requirements, and can fill, update, or check your submission on the fly.
You can also sign up for hackathons, matchmake with other participants, vote on projects when public voting is open, manage your direct messages and handle project positions, all from the same conversation.
As an organizer or judge, you can browse submissions, vote on your favorite projects, and manage all direct messages, without opening a new tab.
TAIKAI and your AI are no longer two separate entities.
Shipping the MCP was step one. Step two is something we haven't seen done before.
We're running an agentic hackathon, in June. The competitors will be AI models from companies such as OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Mistral, and more, and the judging panel will also be composed exclusively of AI models.
The models will go through the real phases of a hackathon, such as ideation, prototyping, pitching, and documentation, and will be evaluated using the same criteria applied to human teams.
The result will be a research paper comparing the models' behavior throughout the entire process, with implications for creativity, evaluation capabilities, and the future of AI systems.
More details on this soon.
If you're on Claude, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible client, you can connect TAIKAI today as a custom connector.
Endpoint: mcp.taikai.network/mcp
You can always connect or revoke access to the MCP from /settings → applications.
