What is Health Founders Estonia Startup bootcamp?

The Health Founders Estonia Startup Bootcamp is an intensive 48-hour event designed to bring together startups, researchers, healthcare professionals, and industry experts to tackle major challenges in the healthcare sector.

Participants will collaborate with experienced mentors, expand their network of connections and partners, and refine their innovative solutions to the highest standard. Throughout the bootcamp, you’ll learn how to develop a compelling presentation, enhance your business design, technical, and creative skills, and transform your vision into a real-world healthcare solution.

When is the deadline for registration?

To join the HFE Startup Bootcamp, register on our TAIKAI platform by May 7th. This will allow you to submit your idea, build your team, and connect with potential collaborators before the bootcamp even begins.

How many people can be in a team?

The size of the teams should be between 3-5 people.

What if I don't have a team?

Don't worry if you don't have a team! You can invite your friends to form a team, we provide the opportunity to form a team online before the Startup Bootcamp begins. Simply register on our TAIKAI platform and connect with like-minded applicants and potential team members. You can also come as an individual to the Bootcamp and we will help you join/form a team!

Where is Hackathon going to take place?

The 1st edition of the Startup Bootcamp will take place in Tartu, Estonia from May 16th to May 17th, 2025. After completing your registration, you will receive details about the HFE Startup Bootcamp venue, including a map with directions.

Does this cost money?

Thanks to our partners, the HFE Startup Bootcamp is free of charge for registered participants.

What should I bring?

You will need a laptop for your work. If you wish to bring any additional hardware (monitor, physical prototypes, etc) you are more than welcome. Food and drinks will be provided on the premises.

Is there Wi-Fi at the event?

Of course. There will also be a limited number of ethernet outlets in the table area, but teams doing projects for the 48h competition have priority on these.

What is the official language of HFE Startup Bootcamp?

English is the official language of HFE Startup Bootcamp as we will also bring international mentors and experts. The opening, closing and pitching presentations will be in English. However, teams will be able to work in their chosen language during team work times. 

What prizes are available for the best teams?

After HFE Startup Bootcamp, winning teams will get tickets to Latitude59, the flagship startup event in Estonia.
