Q3 is kicking off with a bang - TAIKAI version 3.18 is here, and it’s our biggest update ever!

We’ve packed this version with new features and improvements to make your experience on TAIKAI even better. Whether it’s giving you more control over your account or adding cool new social features, we have a ton of updates that we’re sure you’ll love.

So, let’s jump in and check out what’s new.

Improved User Control with session management

You can now list and manage your login sessions. Users can view all active sessions and revoke any that they no longer need, or do not recognize. This added layer of security gives you more control over your account, ensuring peace of mind as you navigate the platform.

New “Following” Feed

In addition to the feed that presented the latest and best projects at TAIKAI, we deployed a new feed based on users and projects you follow. Whether it's new projects, updates, or activities, you’ll never miss a beat in your network.

Connect your X account 🐦

You can now easily link your X account directly to your TAIKAI profile. Previously, this was just a simple hyperlink, but with this update, connecting your X account now also counts as a Quest in our Point System. Don’t forget to check it out under your settings!

Track Your Progress with the User Points Leaderboard

We’re also introducing the User Points Leaderboard, where you can see how you stack up against other members of the TAIKAI community. This new feature adds a competitive edge, motivating you to engage more and climb the ranks.

Follow and be Followed: new social features

Follow Projects: Ability to track the projects that interest you the most by following them directly. Manage the projects you follow on your profile page.
Followers List Page: View a complete list of your followers, making it easier to connect with others. You can also view the followers of other users.
Followings List Page: Manage users you follow from a dedicated page. You can also view the other user following.

Keep track of team activities with the new Activity Feed

When you join a new team, whether as the project creator or as an invited member, your network will now be notified through a new activity feed. This keeps your followers informed about your collaborations and helps you build stronger connections within the community.

Multilingual support expands to blog stories 🇪🇸🇫🇷

Building on our commitment to inclusivity, TAIKAI 3.18 now supports Spanish and French for blog stories. This new feature ensures that more users can access valuable content in their native language, fostering a more diverse and inclusive environment.

Alongside these major features, TAIKAI 3.18 also includes several other noteworthy improvements:

Give PoPs to all projects: Depending on the hackathon, some projects may not advance to the next stage due to certain limitations. However, we believe that every project deserves recognition. Now, all projects published throughout a hackathon, regardless of the stage they reach, can mint a PoP at the end.
New Follower Notifications: You will now receive notifications when someone new follows you, helping you stay connected with your growing network.
Followers and Following Counts: We’ve added follower and following counts directly to the user profile page, making it easier to gauge influence and activity at a glance.
Feature Highlights Modal: Discover new features as soon as they’re released with our feature highlights modal, ensuring you never miss an important update.
Small bug fixes, performance improvements, backend improvements, and more.
