H2WALL @ H2WALL

DESCRIÇÃO

With the urge to replace fossil-fuel energy production, H2WALL offers a sustainable way to produce energy that can be used in our homes.Using solar pannels to power a eletrolyser, a system of rainwater gathering and a reverse osmosis membrane for water filtration,  we can deliver clean electricity through hydrogen production. Then, by taking advantage of the H2 high energy density, we would incorporate Fuel Cell systems in the building as the primary way of energy production.  A secundary set of batteries powered by the solar pannels is used to feed the electrolysis process and to work as a backup energy storage system.

H2WALL aims to reach people that are eager to belong to a less-costly and energy-efficient way of living.

MOTIVAÇÃO

After several months of confinment where our carbon emission levels had an outstanding drop, we are once again edging to 2019 levels. Believing that a shift to clean energy is urgent, we are determined to extend this change to our domestic daily routine, thus contributing to more sustainable community living.

COMO O VAIS CONCRETIZAR

Attending the large dimension of this concept, in the competition we ought to develop a fully functional electrolyser as a primary stage of this project.

The electrolyser will be built using:

- battery
- nickel sheets

- rubber

- zirfon membranes

- plexiglass

- screws and nuts

- hoses

PROGRESSO

Using solar panels to power a eletrolyzer, a system of rainwater gathering and a reverse osmosis membrane for water purification, we can deliver clean electricity through hydrogen production. Then, by taking advantage of the H2 high energy density, we incorporate Fuel Cell systems in the building as the primary source of energy production. A secundary set of batteries powered by the solar pannels is used to feed the electrolysis process and to work as a backup energy storage system.
