Decentralization of work force

working population is moving towards cities making the cities more exhausted of all natural resources like water, clean air etc. After Covid people moved to work from home. Thanks to internet speep

Description

  • 1. What motivates you to be part of Bounce Back Ideas?*

We think this covid time is the most crucial time not only for companies but also for the students who passed out from engineering colleges or about to pass out being in final year. They have no clue about the market scenario and struggling hard to get engaged. But due to lack of proper industrial knowledge and skill set it is not easy path for them. Being in small city is also not easy for them to find a job. We planned this training cum engagement course to assist these kinds of engineers to find a path in product design and be aware of industrial practices. This will also help the industries to absorb the fresher who have introductory knowledge about the design and development of products.

  • 2. Problem/Opportunity Statement*:

Problem statement: Covid time has much restriction for personal movement for college pass out engineers to go for a job search. Similarly the product design companies are also unable to run offices from big cities which are under strict lockdown. Due to covid the restrictions, many design house either shutdown or move to their native places to work from home. But young engineers who are looking for an opportunity to prove them shelves are unable to approach any company.

Opportunity: Being in design industry for more than 18 years, we realized that there is still a huge gap between demand of good product designer and the skill set of college pass out students. Even though industries are choosing the best students from reputed colleges, still they spend lots of time and resource to train them. But due to covid they are now unable to do so. Berhampur is a small city but still have many good engineering colleges. These engineers can be trained and also deputed on live projects.

  • 3. Short Idea  Description*:

The company is started to assist young budding engineers and bridge the gap between colleges to company need. Along with technical knowledge we also train them for inter personal development. We think it is equally important to develop an engineer from the very beginning to tackle problem technically and emotionally. He should also be a good team player. We are also working on their communication skills.

  • 4. Long Idea Description*:

The main aim of the company is to share our long years of experience and make them ready to take the design work from the very first day of joining the company. We prepared our training courses in consultancy with design members of some well-known companies. These design managers expressed the real challenges they face in their day to day work. They also told about the technical need that they are expecting from these fresher while working on live projects.

Our past experience also helped to plan the course to assist the engineers for technical and personal development. Along with some specific design course for Automotive, Off highway and white goods design we planned skill development for communication, team player which would help them to work in future companies.

We are also working on pilot projects which can be helpful for these young engineers to understand the design process. Over all these engineers would be ready to take up any interview challenge for a design engineer post. Their skills would be over and above any CAD engineers. They can better utilize this covid restriction time.

  • 5. Why is your idea innovative?*

We realised that college passed out fresh engineers either go for CAD training or follow someone without understanding the real need of design house of any company. The real challenge is even the CAD centre trainers are also not aware of it. So they are unable to train these engineers. All have a thought that company will take care once these engineers would join the company. This is what followed till now. But due to covid restriction now it is not feasible to do so. Hence the companies are facing real challenges with untrained new engineers.

Secondly the engineers are also facing huge challenge in finding suitable job as it is now crowded. So they have to acquire special skills which are expected by companies. Along with technical skill it is also very important to have inter personal skills which will give them better chance to win a job. We thought of sharing our experience of working in product development companies and also consult these companies to understand their need.

  • 6. What are the potential impacts of your idea?*

  • carrier in product design.
  • Assist them in facing job interviews both technically and personally.
  • Make more and more engineers aware about the real life scenario working in any company design department.
  • Companies would be in better position utilising these kinds of engineers once they recruit them.
  • It is a win win situation both for engineers and for companies.
  • With a trained resource pool we can also be able to work on more live projects
  • We will be able to generate more jobs locally and stop migration of people to big cities which are now over populated

  • 7. How do you plan to implement this idea?*
  1. We approached only 2 colleges in one city for creating a design training batch of 10. But there are 7 engineering colleges in this city having mechanical engineering course. So every year around 300 students pass out form this one city.
  2. In the state of Odisha there are 94 engineering colleges out of which more than 40 engineering colleges are providing mechanical engineering courses.
  3. In India there are more than 1500000 engineering graduate pass out of which minimum 300000 would be mechanical engineers. But most of them are not ready for working in design companies. This is due to lack of real design knowledge of trainers in CAD institutes.
  4. We are planning to work on live projects so that these engineers can also be absorbed internally. They don’t have to migrate to big cities in search of a job.
  5. We are planning to scale up to small cities with engineering colleges but jobs are unavailable. We will setup design training centres and design house to provide job locally

  • 8. Why is your team ideal to implement this idea?*

Desyndeck technologies is created to give a carrier opportunity to students and college pass out engineers who are really looking for making a carrier in product design field. But they migrate to big cities finding such jobs. As a result most of the cities in India is now populated and overburdened. We believe if the companies are able to handle work from home during corona anywhere around the world , then why can’t we run such design house from small cities where enormous talents are there waiting for an opportunity. As a social entrepreneur, it is our duty to make the balance of work force so that cities will be free of congestion and pollution due to huge population of working people.Desyndeck technologies is created to give a carrier opportunity to students and college pass out engineers who are really looking for making a carrier in product design field.
